The past year has been rewarding and full of learning. Warm thanks to all the companies that have set out with us to experiment with artificial intelligence, data analytics and high-performance computing. Joint discussions and meetings have enriched everyday life and brought new perspectives – the developments offered by technical work and the encounters with people have all been real added value. 

The biggest effort of autumn was the Kainuu Digital Summit 2025. The two-day event brought together diverse presentations and offered encounters between international guests and regional actors. The event left many thoughts and inspiration for the future. 

Internationality has also been strongly present elsewhere: we have been able to get to know the ecosystems of artificial intelligence in Japan and Norway. In addition, we have conducted background research on innovation hubs and high-performance computing ecosystems. During the year, several new national and international contacts were made, with whom cooperation is prepared.  

Thank you to everyone who participated – and a special thank you to our colleagues who have continued their journey to new challenges. We wish you all a very happy festive break, and lots of energy to everyone who is working during Christmas.
